Membership
Membership in the Fulton County Retired Teachers Association shall consist of four classifications:
Active, Associate, Reserve and Honorary Life.

Active membership shall be open to any retired teacher, administrator, librarian, nurse or secretary formerly employed in the nation's schools. They shall have full membership privileges in the association.
Associate membership shall be open to any person interested in education and approved by the Executive Board. They shall have all rights and privileges except the right to vote or hold office or represent the association.
Reserve membership shall consist of former active associate members who have become inactive because of illness or disability. They shall be granted special privileges.
Honorary Life is a member who has attained the age of 90 or has entered a nursing facility.
Such a member shall no longer pay dues or luncheon expenses.

Dues
Annual dues are $10.00 and lifetime membership is $100.00.
Annual dues for the current year will be collected beginning at the March meeting. Members may pay back dues or pay dues in advance at any time. If dues are not paid for two years, members will be dropped from the directory.
Membership in the state organization Illinois Retired Teachers Association protects your pensions and health insurance benefits. Contributing to IRTAPAC (Political Action Committee) In addition, members have access to Votervoice that allows contact with state and federal elected officials, qualify for group discounted rates for dental, vision, and other benefits, and remain current on issues important to retired educators through the organization's website (www.irtaonline.org) or facebook page (www.facebook.com/Illinois Retired Teachers)
Annual dues of $30.00 per year may be deducted from your check at a rate of $2.50 a month. A lifetime membership is $400.00.
In addition, members can take advantage of AMBA, Association Members Benefits Advisors, which offers group priced discounts and benefits to members and their family and friends. Check out www.myambabenefits.info for a list of those discounts and benefits.
